He donated a famous alien prop from the movie to the International UFO Museum in Roswell, which features the Paul Davids Exhibit. He then produced documentaries to further educate the public on UFO issues, three of which were released on video by UFO-TV, including DOWN IN ROSWELL, REPLY TO THE AIR FORCE REPORT ON THE ROSWELL INCIDENT and a 1997 EBE-award winner called GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY UFO BRIEFING FOR THE WHITE SANDS MISSILE RANGE PIONEERS. He has served as a guest speaker at most of the major national UFO conferences and two UFO conferences in Italy. His career in the film and TV industries took off in the mid-1980’s when he was production coordinator on over 80 episodes of the animated TRANSFORMERS show (and he also wrote some of those episodes). He went on to write six STAR WARS sequel novels for Lucasfilm and Bantam books that sold millions of copies worldwide. Paul Davids’ most recently released film, THE SCI-FI BOYS (Universal Studios Home Entertainment DVD) won five awards in 2007, and three of those trophies were EBE Awards from the International UFO Congress. THE SCI-FI BOYS, which deals with aliens in Hollywood films and the history of special effects, starred Peter Jackson (THE LORD OF THE RINGS director). Featured on the Sci Fi Channel, it also won Hollywood’s coveted Saturn Award as Best DVD of 2006 as well as the international fan-based Rondo Award as Best Independent Genre Film of 2006. He recently completed a new feature-length documentary entitled JESUS IN INDIA (not yet released), examining theories of the travels of Jesus Christ in the East. Paul Davids notes that he attended the very first International UFO Congress in Tucson, Arizona, and that his ID card indicates that he was the very first person to register. He has been a regular attendee at our conference ever since and has also served as a speaker here. (see www.pauldavids.com) |
